Things that don't exist in free countries...
In my estimation, people need and want leadership, but they do not need nor want a second set of parents or a set of dictators teaching them right from wrong.
I've compiled a very short list of things that one might not expect to see or hear about in a free place.
Found in the United States:
- Special Master for Executive Compensation (Kenneth Feinberg)
- the Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee
- Special Envoy for Climate Change (Todd Stern)
- Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change (Carol Browner)
- 30+ page tax returns
- a proposed healthcare bill with potential for helping a young woman pay for intentional baby death (and lower the cost of healthcare...because the government's track record proves they've always been awesome at lowering costs)
- Barney Frank
Found in Haiti:
- Front for Hope (where have I heard something like that before?)
- Struggling People's Organization
- Homes made thin as paper
Found in Venezuela:
- United Socialist Party
- a call by the president to devalue his own country's currency - (good luck trying to produce something other than oil, Hugo, while your people are not free to be capitalists) Nothing says, "I love you" like devaluing everyone's income. No wonder you and Barrack are such good buds. Spread the wealth around...til there's none...for purposes of fairness, of course.
Found in China:
- Minister of the State Commission of Population and Family Planning (Zhang Weiqing)
- Choose one kid, abort the rest
Grimp
